The tourist card for Madrid – free entry to top attractions, hop-on-hop-off bus and discounted access to numerous museums and sights.
Three steps to the perfect Madrid City Pass.
All city passes for Madrid can be purchased online via the links on this page.
All Madrid passes are purely digital: After purchase, you'll receive your pass by email as a PDF or QR code and can use it directly on your smartphone.
For popular attractions like the Royal Palace or the Prado Museum, many passes require advance reservations with time slots.
There are five sightseeing passes for Madrid: The Go City All-Inclusive Pass offers access to over 20 attractions (including Prado guided tour, Royal Palace tour, Bernabéu Stadium, hop-on hop-off bus, Reina Sofía, flamenco show, day trips to Toledo and Segovia). The Go City Explorer Pass lets you choose 3 to 7 attractions from a similar list. The Madrid City Pass by Turbopass also includes over 20 attractions like Royal Palace, Prado, Bernabéu and a panoramic bus tour. The Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) contains 3 selectable attractions from 6 options (Royal Palace or Reina Sofía, Prado or Bernabéu, hop-on hop-off bus or flamenco show) plus audio guide app. The Paseo del Arte Card grants entry to the three major art museums: Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen-Bornemisza.
With the Go City All-Inclusive Pass, validity starts with the visit to the first attraction and then runs for 1 to 5 consecutive calendar days. The Go City Explorer Pass also activates with the first visit and remains valid for 30 to 60 days afterwards. With the Turbopass Madrid, validity begins with the first use on-site and extends over the selected number of 1 to 5 days. The Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) has no fixed validity period – you already choose fixed dates and time slots for each attraction when booking. The Paseo del Arte Card is valid for 1 year from purchase.
With all Madrid City Passes, each included attraction can only be visited once.
None of the mentioned sightseeing passes include a ticket for Madrid's public transport. For metro, bus and local trains you need to buy separate tickets. Alternatively, there's the official Madrid Tourist Travel Pass (Abono Turístico), which you can purchase on-site at metro machines and which allows unlimited rides on public transport.
No, the mentioned sightseeing passes do not include airport transfer. Only with the Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) is there an optional add-on package with private airport transfer and a 3-day public transport card, which can be booked separately.
This varies by pass and attraction. The Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) offers priority entry without queuing at the Royal Palace. With Turbopass you can bypass ticket offices at many attractions. With the Go City Passes you get direct entry at numerous attractions by showing the QR code, however some attractions are guided tours with fixed time slots. Generally, fast track is not a universal feature of all passes – check the details of each attraction in advance.
With the Go City All-Inclusive and Explorer Pass there's a discounted children's pass for 3- to 12-year-olds; children under 3 have free entry at most attractions. The Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) offers reduced rates for children (4–12 years), youth (13–17) and seniors (65+). With Turbopass there are separate prices for children and youth. With the Paseo del Arte Card, children generally have free entry to the three museums anyway.
All passes are available digitally. After online purchase, you receive a confirmation email with your digital pass or QR code. You can show this on your smartphone or print it out. With the Go City Passes it's recommended to download the free Go City app and store the pass there with your order number. Pickup on-site is not necessary for any of the passes.
Cancellation terms differ: With Go City (All-Inclusive and Explorer) you can cancel an unactivated pass up to 90 days after purchase date; via GetYourGuide free cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before. With Turbopass cancellation is possible up to 1 day before the first validity day, with a fee of €30 per pass applying. The Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) is generally non-refundable. With the Paseo del Arte Card you can choose a refundable ticket for an additional 12% surcharge – then cancellation is possible until midnight before the selected date.
The passes are person-bound and non-transferable. Each person needs their own pass – including children. Sharing the pass with other travelers is not permitted.
Advance reservation is required for many attractions. With the Go City All-Inclusive and Explorer Pass, some tours and museums are marked with an (R), for which you must book a time slot in advance via the Go City app or digital guide. With the Madrid Digital Pass (Tiqets) you choose date and time when purchasing. With Turbopass some attractions require a free time ticket. Plan early, as popular attractions can sell out quickly.
